Welcome to the award winning Top Riley Holiday Cottages

There’s a certain kind of quiet that’s hard to come by. The kind where you wake early, make a cup of tea, and sit listening to the birds before the day properly begins. No noise, nowhere to be, just time to ease into the morning.

That’s what you’ll find at Top Riley.

A small collection of cottages, barn and cabins for grown-ups only, set in the Peak District countryside. Where days are shaped by walks, fresh air and simple routines, and evenings settle into warmth, comfort and stillness.

Find the Space That Suits You

At Top Riley, each space is set up so you can arrive, put your bags down, and settle in straight away.

Warm, light and thoughtfully prepared, your space has everything you need for a peaceful stay, so the moment you arrive, you can simply settle in, breathe out and relax.

Whether you choose one of the cottages, the barn, or a woodland cabin, you’ll have your own private place to return to, somewhere comfortable, quiet, and easy to be in.

Simply choose the setting that feels right for you.

Recharge Amid Nature

You might spend the morning out in the hills, wander through a village and stop somewhere for coffee and cake, then return to a space that’s warm and easy to settle into.

The afternoon drifts, a book, a quiet moment, perhaps a short rest, without feeling like you should be doing something else.

By evening, everything slows again. The warmth of the space, a glass of wine, and the quiet settling in around you.

Stunning Peak District Views

Top Riley is surrounded by 20 acres of private meadow and woodland, just for our guests to enjoy. Quiet paths lead you through the land, with places to pause, sit with a book, listen to the birdsong, or simply watch the light change across the hills.

You might wander into Eyam for a slow mooch around its historic streets, or spend the day exploring nearby places like Chatsworth House, before returning to the peace and privacy of Top Riley.

Or you may choose to stay close. A gentle walk across the meadow, a quiet bench with a view, a slower afternoon where there is nowhere else you need to be.

Nothing is rushed. You set the pace.
